Serving the Locksmith and Distribution Market

Since 1963, Hudson Lock and ESP Lock have been designing and manufacturing highly engineered, custom, and specialty medium-security locks and locking systems to meet customers' specifications for use in office furniture, point-of-sale ("POS") terminals, bank bags, post office boxes, storage lockers, and other applications.

Company History
Hudson was founded in 1963 as a manufacturer of lock plugs for the door handle manufacturing industry. The Company's original products included lock plugs for cabinet handles, camping-trailer handles, and screen-door handles.

During the 1970s, Hudson began to diversify its customer base and to supply locks to OEM customers in several different industries. These new, diverse industries included manufacturers of office furniture, bank-deposit bags, gasoline pumps, and mail boxes.

In the 1980s, Hudson focused on the development of specialty custom locks for highly specialized OEMs. Also during the 1980s and continuing into the 1990s, Hudson began improving its overall manufacturing capabilities and efficiency by employing automation in its manufacturing and assembly processes.

Hudson Lock was acquired by Key Components, Inc. in 1997. That same year, Key Components acquired ESP Lock Products of Leominster, Massachusetts, and consolidated ESP's RAD Lock Division into Hudson.

In 2004, Hudson Lock and ESP Lock Products was acquired by Waveland Investments and senior management. This acquisition solidified senior management's commitment to Hudson Lock's future.

Hudson Lock's expertise in design, engineering and manufacturing coupled with a very strong management team has paved the way for Hudson to become the industry manufacturing leader of medium-security cylindrical locks.

Facilities
Hudson Lock's main facility is located in Hudson, Massachusetts and serves as Hudson's corporate headquarters, manufacturing facility and warehouse.

In 1992, Hudson opened a 3,500 square foot distribution center in Grand Rapids, Michigan to provide the highest level of customer service to its customers in the Midwest and elsewhere.
